S Sound familiar?

You left the insurance treadmill to practice medicine the way you always meant to: unhurried, personal, with honest prices. It's the best thing you ever did. Yet some days it can feel lonely, like swimming upstream. The system wasn't built for you, and plenty of colleagues doubt it can work.

While the DPC movement has grown, finding answers is still hard work. Whether it's a business question, fair prices for referrals or in-house services, you end up scouring social media groups, blogs and directories.

Here's the thing: you're not doing it wrong. You're just doing it alone.

O What it is

Physicians used to have a doctors' lounge: a room to grab a colleague for a curbside question, vent a little, and walk out a little less alone. Most of us lost it a long time ago. DPC Hub brings it back.

โ€œThe lounge, reopenedโ€

It's a private online community for Direct Primary Care practices, built for finding things, not scrolling past them. Conversations are organized by topic and searchable, so a great answer from last spring is still there next year.

DPC is a national movement, but healthcare is local. DPC Hub gives each region its own space, its own chat and a shared directory of local direct-pay resources that members keep up to date. And you choose what you hear: the national conversations, just your region, or both.

DPC Hub is physician-led. Member practices are physician-owned or work under an actively involved physician. But no practice runs on one person, so the whole team belongs here too: NPs and PAs, nurses, medical assistants, practice managers and the front desk. Clinicians also have a private digital lounge of their own for clinical questions.

Every member is verified. A volunteer checks each practice before approving anyone, so you know who's in the room: DPC owners, clinicians and team members, and people seriously planning a practice.

No vendors, no recruiters, no middlemen. No ads, no algorithm deciding what you see. Nothing is public, shared on social media, or visible to search engines.

A Why it works

Because it already has. For ten years, DPC practices in the Kansas City areaโ€”now about 35 of themโ€”have met every quarter or so to talk shop: running a practice, caring for patients, teaching them to be healthier, often with a guest speaker. Experienced owners mentor new ones. And members have found and shared a growing number of specialty practices and ancillary services that offer direct-pay prices for our patients.

We provide the tools to build a regional group. Fostering a local DPC group usually takes many years and a lot of volunteers. DPC Hub hands every region the hard parts, ready-made: a place to talk that doesn't scroll away, a way to know everyone is who they say they are, a shared local directory, and simple tools for planning meetups.

Your region still needs a person or two to welcome people and host the first get-together. Everything else is ready.

P Next steps

Pull up a chair. If you run a DPC practice, or work in one, request to join. It takes about two minutes, and a volunteer will approve you.

If there's no regional group near you yet, join anyway. The national conversations are open to every member, and once a few practices in your area are on board, we'll help you start your own regional group.

DPC Hub is brand new. If anything is confusing or broken, tell us at admin@DPCHub.org. We read every note.

Practice independently.
Not alone.

DPC Hub is a private, physician-led community where Direct Primary Care practices share what works, find good resources, and build groups close to home.
